I. Call to Order

            The meeting of the Connecticut River Estuary Metropolitan Planning Organization was called to order by Vice Chairman Dick Smith at 8:45 a.m. in the CRERPA conference space, Suite B, of the Marketplace, Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook.

I. Public Involvement Period:

             There were no comments from public. Linda Krause did introduce Carla Iezzi, our new DOT representative to the selectmen (860-594-2153)                                                                                       email: carla.iezzi.@po.st.ct.us.

 

III.       Minutes

                        Rich Cabral made the motion to accept the minutes of June’08.  Phil Miller seconded. All were in favor

IV. Federal and State Programs:

            a. STIP Amendments

                        Six STIP amendments presented and were basically routine maintenance items.  Bill Peace noted outstanding issue for ordinary maintenance of traffic light in Old Saybrook.  Rich Cabral noted he, too, had overhead signs issues as well as lighting issues with DOT.  A general discussion ensued regarding monetary shortfalls at the DOT

            Ralph Eno moved to accept the amendments as presented, seconded by Phil Miller.  All were in favor

            Linda Krause noted that she had received additional STIP amendments; however, these new amendments needed to be amended.  DOT will resubmit when corrected.

            b. REPT – no report/ no updates

            c. CTDOT – deferred

            d. Planning Projects -- Transportation survey posters were distributed to selectmen.Survey is on web and hard copies of the survey were distributed.

            e. ETD Update – deferred to discuss at LCVSA

 

5.  Other Transportation Business – None

 

A Motion to adjourn made by Rich Cabral, at 9:30, seconded by Ralph Eno.  All were in favor.
